Garbatella is a great area of Rome.  Have you lived there for long?  I remember seeing a 5 story wall of vines - passionfruit, it was - on one of the hills overlooking St. Pauls Without the Walls (San Paolo Fuori Mura).  Knock out.  Talk about vertical gardening!  If we can grow up, everywhere like that we may be able to deal with all the carbon we are putting out and more without any other action!   (less)
