I am a single mom in Missouri, I have 2 boys ages 5 and 2. This will be my third year growing for self-sufficiency, but my first year in school pursuing my geography degree. Because I am trying to grow for self-sufficiency, I am attempting to keep my loop as closed as possible with the exception of community compost, municipal water, and sand on new plots. I currently have 12 no till plots of varying sizes in my rental home side yard, but plan to expand to my front yard with various amaranth and edible flower species.
