My 30'x70' piece of paradise. Nothing makes me happier than to work in my garden and get lots of dirt under my fingernails. I spend almost every day in the cold Ohio winters dreaming of how I will plant my garden, what I will plant, what I will be making with all the harvests. I love to can, freeze and cook with fresh veggies out in the garden. I started in 2010 making homemade hot sauces, so 2012 will be a greater variety of hot peppers being planted - have seeds for about 10 different ones - everything from jalapeno to ghost peppers.

Got a nice rain tonight - .65" - had .15" early this morning - and overall 1.4" since yesterday! So Happy!!! 1st time this summer I actually turned off the drip irrigation timer for the garden!

Patiently waiting for this rain we are supposed to get today that is gonna cool things back to the 80's. Its killer hot & humid out there now... just step out side and you feel sweat already forming on yourself! UGH

Oh BUT best part - temps are now in the 70's - YAY!!! Hens are so happy - they are not having to pant anymore - they are out in garden having a blast - hopefully eating up lots of bad bugs! |

It rained everywhere but at our house last night :( Okay maybe I'm being dramatic but I was driving home last night and a mile from our house it was pouring rain and then I got to our driveway and it was dry as a bone. |
