OK update - I should have not done the rain dance.  That storm that ripped thru was a tornado like storm - ripped the chicken coop door off the coop - which is INSIDE a barn!!!  i saw it move the chicken tractor in the yard, my new rain barrels were down the road in the farm fields, stuff scattered everywhere in the yard...  corn laying down - and what Mo is most upset about.....  death of a lot of sunflower stalks.   =(   We lost power during the storm - elec company was saying 5-7 days so yesterday started to call around to find a generator so we didn't lose all our food...  all around here were sold out - so called my dad and he scored the last one from the lowes by him (1.5hr drive)...  so we loaded up and headed that way...  it was HUGE (5000watts)- just barely fit in the jeep...  Get back to our town - which had power in the morning as we were able to get gas for the jeep).  Go back to gas station to fill up the tanks we brought with us for generator... now no power...  drive around to 5 different stations around the area till we finally found one with power.   headed home and got a text from a neighbor saying 'YES!" just a few mins from home - but it was a reply to a text about something gardening wise... thought in the power outage she was just catching up on old texts...  get home and I had to use the facilities really bad... ran in the house and realized "what is that noise??"   Oh its the AC window unit in the dining room!   Power came on literally 2 mins before we got home...     Altho our internet connection JUST got restored.    I'll take some pics of the garden.   We drove friday night to get ice for coolers to save stuff in frig - and we were VERY lucky compared to many - tons of roofs blown off - huge silos down - barns crumbled...   In the state capital Columbus there are photos of telephone poles down all over the roads with live wires.... and cars stuck in between the poles...  Guess they are estimated to not have power till the 7th.   Crazy Crazy storm - really lets you know how powerful mother nature is and we have to remember we do not control things.  But alas I have been forbidden by neighbors to do anymore rain dances.   =/
