My 30'x70' piece of paradise. Nothing makes me happier than to work in my garden and get lots of dirt under my fingernails. I spend almost every day in the cold Ohio winters dreaming of how I will plant my garden, what I will plant, what I will be making with all the harvests. I love to can, freeze and cook with fresh veggies out in the garden. I started in 2010 making homemade hot sauces, so 2012 will be a greater variety of hot peppers being planted - have seeds for about 10 different ones - everything from jalapeno to ghost peppers.

Wohoo! Mo stopped at a nursery on way home from work to get another Pussy Willow for low spot in yard, and she is getting me onions and seed potatoes! Not sure which ones I'll end up with but at least I can get some planted!

HELP!!! So I noticed the lettuce, broccoli and cabbage seeds had sprouted... went back down this morning and the leaves on the lettuce & broccoli have been eaten off... in the house?! no sign of a stray slug... any ideas?

Took a break and was pulling out the red sorrel that has invaded my flagpole flower bed, saw lots of pink lady beetles in the soil AND a ton more preying mantis eggs on the dead flower stems. I think I'm up to 15 eggs on my property now!
