Glad you made it through the blizzard safe and sound!  Hopefully all the snow here and there will be melting soon - I, for one, am more than ready to trade snow for spring :)

December Greetings Dec 09, 2012
Activity-icon-status

Hi all. December has been as busy here as it seems it has been for all my other YGS friends. Spent last weekend cleaning up the yard on an unseasonably warm 60 degree day. Raked and cleaned up the decorative pumpkins. We cut open Big Max. I then spent hours preparing the pumpkin to puree and freeze. I managed to get 16 cups of... ...see more

Decorating with foraged items from the great outdoors is not just economical - it usually looks awesome too. I am going to try that pumpkin pie soon.

Marbled Orbweaver, Planting Garlic, and a Visit to Prince Snow Nov 12, 2012
Activity-icon-status

We mulched with leaves, as they were free, we had LOTS (as opposed to last year when Irene carried them off to a faraway land), and we just couldn't find any straw. The garden center's said it was hard to come by this year. Maybe because... ...see more

Planting Garlic Tomorrow Nov 04, 2012
Activity-icon-status

Tomorrow we are going to plat garlic and winter greens.  We made it through the hurricane fine, with just a tree to clean up. My heart goes out to those struggling with loss.
I will update when possible, in between CCD, soccer, touring high schools, working, you know the drill!  Missing my YGS friends.

Hey you two, what would make your posting of results easier? That is apart from the formatting issues which we are aware of, sorry about that. I mean, would you want pre-fillable lists or something like that? thanks, Tom
Queen_of_Green replied 8 months ago
Thanks for sharing your list! I'll do the same soon. I still have a ton of tomatoes and other crops to harvest.
