QueenCityGardener72 created a garden!

The orchids are unbelievable - some of the colors I have not see before! What is the black bubbly growth on one of the tree photos?

That is a garden I can only dream about. Beautiful orchids-I have never seen so many different ones. Many thanks for the visit and I will go there often. Did I see a hibiscus?

This is just stunning ... the orchids, the hibiscus, all of the water features, just gorgeous.

This is my friends' garden, in Goiana, Brazil. (population 2 million) They are about 120 miles south of Brasilia (the capital). The tree with the grape-looking fruit is called Jabutacaba (or jabuticabeira in Portugese). It is a Brazilian grape tree. It is a popular fruit in the midwest of Brazil. The black flower plant is called a Pua (Poo-ya) from Peru. The Pua can also be found in the U.S. The photo of the waterfalls was taken in Jaciara, near the Pantanal in the west of Brazil. My friend says there are waterfalls all over Brazil. I am trying to get my friends to start their own garden display...
