It's getting dark, but I finally caught Mount Rainier tonight!

Wow!  What a view!  Mt Rainier is such a beautiful mountain, or maybe I am partial since I grew up looking at it?  :)

@JMTKMS: It really is spectacular! This was taken from a spot down the street from me. I'll try to get some better pictures where you can see the whole mountain in daylight. I never get tired of looking at Mt Rainier and I have had a view of it since 1966 when my family moved to Seattle from Denver.

@Clenram: It's pretty amazing! More to come soon... :)

@Queen_of_Green:  How fun to live by such a mountain.  I grew up on top of a mountain in New Mexico...I went from 8600 ft elevation to 600 ft here.  :)

@Clenram: This is a pretty spectacular area, we have 2 mountain ranges, the Olympics and Cascades nearby. Mount Rainier, Mount St Helens, Mt Adams and Mt Baker, all of them a BIG mountains! We also have Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean, and many lakes, and on a clear day, it's hard to beat! I guess that makes the rainy, gloomy skies more bearable, because when the sun comes out, there is pure beauty everywhere you look! :)

@Clenram: 8000 ft drop in elevation is a big difference!! :)

@Queen_of_Green:  Yup...and I do miss the mountains!  More pictures please!  :)

@Queen_of_Green:  I think it would be a lovely place.

@Clenram: When I have a little free time, I'll get some photos of my favorite views in the area. And if I go up to Mount Rainier to see the wildflowers, I will definitely take lots of photos. It will be a while before the snow melts this year though.

More to come for sure! :) It was out again today, but I was working, so I couldn't get any pictures of it. I just got home from work and it's dark. Maybe tomorrow it will show up again! :)

Queen_of_Green replied about 1 year ago
@Liz: My class went well! Thanks for asking! :) The next one I teach is 'Planting Hanging Baskets'. That will be a fun one! :)
