Does it make those helicopters like the maple trees?

@Liz: They sure do... every flower will make a helicopter, so I will have thousands! :)

Very dainty for a maple.  Is it really related or just named after the maple?

@JMTKMS: I really is a maple.. The branches l... sort of vine like and they grow in the understory of bigger trees like big leaf maples, Douglas fir and hemlock trees all over the Pacific Northwest. I'll tag this photo with more information... :)
