Sometimes when I am outside working and it is quiet, I can hear the woodpeckers pecking in the trees.  It's like a pound, pound, pound sound.

@Liz: I like that sound... I always have to laugh when I hear them pecking on the metal chimney cap on my fireplace though! It's really loud and it sounds like someone has a jackhammer on the roof! Lol! :)
