I redesigned my vegetable garden last year at Franklin Park Community Garden with the Vegetable Garden Planner on Mother Earth News. I am implementing the full plan this season and it will be a lot easier to tend and maintain with this new plan. I grow lots of organic heirloom vegetables and edible flowers in my garden and it produces most of the vegetables and some of the fruit I eat for the entire year.

I have corn on the grill that will be dried for use in the winter. Cabbages are waiting to be shredded for the first batch of sauerkraut of the season, 6 pounds of peaches will become Peach and Cilantro Salsa. Oh my goodness! That's a lot of raspberries. I think raspberries are a great thing economically to grow. I will only buy organic fruit, and organic raspberries are something like 6.99 for a tiny container.... more » |
