Dripline on the Tomato bed
  1 of 4 Magnify

3 Days and One VERY sore finger later....

Yah!,my drip lines are all installed and wonder of wonders....They work! It took me 3 days and one return trip to the store but I set up 200' of 1/2 line and 500' of 1/4 line. 2 splices to repair bad punctures, many zip ties and one very sore finger from pressing those hard connectors into place. There are a couple of spots i will have to hand water (like the carrot bed-couldn't figure out how to work that out since I haven't thinned them out yet) I set it on a 2hr. timer today and left for the ballpark. Everything was nicely watered and it turned it self off when I came back.

The chickens are in their new home and have eaten all the hay, grass and weeds I've been dumping in there. They love that grass!

Everyone have a nice day tomorrow and I'll see ya'll on Monday!

Wow - what a needed task to be completed. That is such an efficient way to water & even more important in areas like Texas where we could be in for a low amount of natural irrigation and of course in for some high temps. I'd love to complete mine too! Great inspiration.

I was determined to get the water situation more efficient after last year. We are on a well and I really was worried about our water table after so  many months of drought. Our son and his wife had to hook into the community water line after their well went dry.

Wow, that's a lot of work.  I hope you rewarded yourself after all that work!
