@Liz: I find a little time to here and there. I spent so many years working 15 hour days, seven days a week that it's pretty much a part of me. I would go 3 months without a day off and we didn't have a vacation for 13 years. It's pretty much ingrained in me now. We try and take time from July on to September to do some fun things.
Is that a white cucumber I see in the collection? That is really white, but is really looks yummy. John likes dill pickles/beans, but the kids and I are Sweet Pickle fans.
@RoriTx:The white bush marrow, is that the regular size? I planted a white zucchini - lungo bianco. I wonder if they are similar, I have not grown them before.
@JMTKMS:I think I picked it a little early. It's supposed to be all white, about 7" and I think it's short and squaty. I just wanted to try it tonight since we ended going out last night (granddaughters all over for dinner and hollering Chinese). It may be close. I know the marrows are related to zucchini.
@RoriTx: Funny, I did not find any seeds at Baker Creek that were called zucchini, except the white one and the yellow one that I purchased. I currently do not have any "traditional" green zucchini's planted, so I hope the "marrows" taste real similar, as we love zucchini.
@RoriTx: Well, I guess that makes sense now, but I am/ was such a traditional "name" person. I plant zucchini, so it should say zucchini. Same with the canteloupes, we had a hard time picking melons, cause nothing was called "canteloupe". I am catching on, but this years choices were pretty much picked by whether or not we liked the sound of the name. Its kinda that same, for me, way that I pick football teams in the football pool. :) :)
@JMTKMS: I never say football to loud . I've lived in Texas over 30 years now but I will NEVER be a Cowgirl fan. 49'ers forever! You should have seen Facebook during the world series Rangers Vs. The Giants....I thought I was going to be run out of the state rofl
