Fall Friday #7....wow.Where is the time flying off to? Winter will be upon everyone before we know it.
I finally got to the winter squash this week. I decided to start out with one of my smaller ones which was a Queensland Blue. There isn't going to be a recipe out of this experiment as much as what I'd term more of a technique... ...see more

Yum!!  So glad you're experimenting with the Yacon.  I'm getting ready to harvest the rest of them today so that we can move the chicken tractor on that bed.

The news weather folks are tormenting me once again with the promise of rain. They dangle it like a carrot,getting my hopes up just to watch it skirt all around us. Blah! I feel your pain - we only had a quarter of an inch of rain in all of September and while we're getting a little drizzle today, it's not looking like it will amount to anything measurable.

 You betcha! I spent all of yesterday afternoon and last night in the kitchen roasting peppers,grinding spices,making vinegar etc. etc. There will be a BIG Fall Friday this week!
