So much going on! Good luck with the to-do list (I never get through all the things on the list). I hope your neighbour is OK. My neighbors at my old house rolled their car in mid June (both in their mid 70s). He came home 4 weeks ago. She just got home 10 days ago. still a ways to go in their recoveries. Hide some of those beans for yourself. (less)

Hey Rory - love the fish/plant system and the addition of bee hives, please keep us informed on how you're doing it.  I truly enjoyed meeting each of you last week.  Felt kinda responsible for our CRFG booth (and the elderly couple who manned it) so I didn't get much opportunity to visit.  I too enjoyed passing out the sunflower seeds and have kept a few for my next Master Gardener meeting with the hope they might get on yourgardenshow.com

As usual, life keeps on moving ahead.  We came home late Thursday night (not Rori late, just 9 pm) My son had changed plans while we were away and was coming Saturday morning, instead of in one weeks time.  So Friday was spent finishing painting the walls (had windows replaced and never finished this room) putting up shower, and towel rods, etc.  Saturday/Sunday was saved for Ryan and Charlene and today I'm off to volunteer at the local Democrat office and then to the shelter to pick up 2 new kitties. Brother & sister who we're naming Linus and Lucy.  Our older cat Jack will be in for a surprise!! 

I didn't take any photos at Heirloom so am really looking forward to seeing both of your photos.

You are picking fall squash and I harvested spring planted squash. The "winter" squashes are not ripe yet so they will have to ripen in my house. (Sun shine squash that I grew and some Butternut and other things from Sis #3)

Great to hear about all of the exciting plans you have going forward. I would love to have bees at the farm though I would have to convince my Brother to let them board there. I am going to do some research about the natural hives. I want to know if they would be easier to keep through the winter than the "box" hives and I am curious how you get the honey out.  Drip method? The fish and food system sounds very interesting too though it would need to be inside a building to work here.

Exciting stuff. Can't wait to hear more.
