We love your greenhouse, do you heat your greenhouse? We haven't ours, we think about it but haven't done it..it would have to be wood heat and I'm thinking that would be a problem...and we know what spring storms are like too. Manley liked your Venison and Elk stew!!!
You know, it's so funny--we didn't heat our greenhouse at all until we put in the ladybugs that my daughter got for her birthday! HA! They died anyway, so we unplugged the heater! We just use a little space heater with a thermostat and we really don't heat it all that much. In the spring, the warm soil heats the building up and keeps it heated, and in the fall the tomatoes look pretty rough anyway so we only plug in the heater if it's going to be below 30. We've been really lucky this fall and it's been really warm and super dry, so we've only had the heat on once or twice overnight.
Canning the stew is a whole day of work, from sunrise till well past dark, but it is so worth it to crack a jar open mid-winter!
