I love things named Valencia... That is the name of one of our horses.  We will be planting a Valencia melon, and now I see the tomatoes.. How fun.

The winter photos are beautiful, but I'm still ready for spring.  We had a little snow waiting for us this morning, but most of it has already melted.

WOW!  What fun photos!  HOw cute a little baby buck!?!?  Are those white tail??  I'm curious because our little guys don't have spots usually when their starting getting antler stubs and are usually half that size!

milliesgarden : These are not white tail, they are mule deer and the ones with spots are fawns.  The buck is the larger one in the garden with a large rack of antlers.  The buck came around for a... more »

We do live on the eastern side of Washington State which is hot and dry in the summers.

Thank you QofG, I fought blight on the tomatoes every year living in Monroe. Now, Winthrop is a delight since I thrive in sunshine.
