Hi! I'm the Stone Cottage Farm Garden 2012! I was brand new two years ago when Farmer Dave and Farmer Christina broke new ground in what used to be the back farm yard. I'm hoping this year, now that they got their 2011 farm wedding, and 20110 moving in & clean up work done, that they'll pay a lot more attention to me! I'm going to be full of all kinds of yummy veggies for them, and their dairy goats, and chickens!

The rain of the past few days has completely given way to gorgeous sunshine today, and warm but pleasant temps. Dave had today off work, got to enjoy most of the day on the farm, and managed a trip to the Marlette Stockyards this morning. The roller coaster weather ride of 2012 continues today, June 1, with temps only reaching the 60s, and with a few momentary lapses, a cool drizzly rain falling all day, sometimes bursting into a downpour. Last year, I used my whiskey barrels to grow potatoes. They worked great! I must have missed a couple of potaotoes because I have plants coming up in two of the barrels. |
