Love the progress - you might not want that visitor to come back.

@SweetDomesticity...: I have successfully used deer a deer repellentÂ... 'Shake Away' sprinkled around the perimeter of the garden. I think it is Coyote Urine granules, it's doesn't smell to us, but the deer wont cross the perimeter when they smell it.

@Queen_of_Green: Thanks for the tip!  I'll have to look into that.  It sounds like it would be fully organic?  That's one of the rules - no chemicals - yay!

@SweetDomesticity...: You're welcome! I have had that problem before and I will do anything to help people protect their plants! Tucking Lavender sprigs in the tips of trees and larger plants, works well too. Deer hate lavender and rosemary. Our community garden is 100 percent organic too, no synthetic chemicals, pesticides or herbicides allowed. We can use neem, insecticidal soap and other organic methods for disease and pest control if necessary, but I haven't needed much over the past 8 years. My beneficial insect border, and Sluggo, do a good job with the pests. I use 7-up and a drop of Dawn dish soap on powdery mildew, and it seems to work pretty well.
