@JMTKMS: I have been wanting to try these for a couple of years now, being a Minnesota melon and all.  But they are also a small melon that is perfect for my vertical garden wall, so win-win.  I planted a few hills out in the community garden plot as well - I love cantaloupe..., so having little personal-sized melons should be fun :)

Very nice. So you can plant melons so they grow upwards? I thought I saw a photo on someone's older post awhile back.

@MaryLarson:  I have seen them grown upwards, you just have to have a support for the melons if they are large... Some people used stockings to hold them as they grew, so the stockings expand as the melon get larger.

@MaryLarson: Yes!  I attached chicken wire to my fence and as the melon vines grow, I'm training them to climb up the fence.  These melons are only supposed to get about 4 or 5 inches in diameter, so they may or may not need extra support.
