Cautiously optimistic about the 40 and 50 percent chance of rain for tonight and tomorrow, respectively. Mother Nature, if you're listening, my gardens could sure use it!

Be sure to tell her (Mother Nature) to use moderation.  We got hit with a pretty good lightening storm again to..., and the wind damage is just killing a few things.  I wish the weather would just level out.  Oh well, lightening does put on a nice show... as long as nothing catches on fire.  :)

@JMTKMS: That's too bad about the wind damage - what is it that's taking the brunt of it?  I do enjoy a good lighting show as well.  We often don't get a good view here in the city, so I miss that.  There must have been a strike nearby this morning.  There was one really loud crack of thunder that had to have been close, and judging by the stoplights that were blinking this morning, at least some power is out in town.  Hopefully it didn't cause too much damage.

The odds were in our favor!   We had a good hour of soaking rain in the wee hours of the morning, and there's been a nice light rain on and off ever since (going on about 3ish hours now).  I'm pretty sure my garden is actually smiling this morning :)  It's not cooling off much, so when this clears out in the next half hour, it's going to be a hot and STEAMY day, but a small price to pay for the rain.  We have another chance again this afternoon, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
