I'd like to have a little chat with that groundhog...
Jentheo replied 2 months ago

Me too! I think he needs a job review.

Liz replied about 1 month ago
Next year, they should just let him sleep!
SweetDomesticity replied about 1 month ago
He certainly wouldn't see his shadow then!

My tomatoes are definitely on the fast track!  I think I got some really good compost for my starter mix this year :)

I can't believe how thick a lot of my pepper stems are already!  Hoping for a warm spring that maybe I can get them planted in early May instead of late May or early June.  They are gonna be huge by then if the growth rate continues!
SweetDomesticity replied 2 months ago
That's why I started my peppers so early this year.  Last year I started them at the same time as the tomatoes, and they seemed a little on the smallish side when I transplanted them out.  I'm ho... more »

We were out of town for the weekend and came home to a fun surprise in the mail: a little bag of “Anna Russian” tomato seeds from my aunt's garden in Northern Idaho! They are an early, pink-red oxheart-shaped heirloom that can grow fruits up to 1 lb. – they sound fantastic!  Apparently they were...

I was wrong.  It is the 'Emmy' Tomato that has the nice story and I didn't order it.....It's on next year's list.  I already have 11 different seeds on my "wish list" for next year!!

Hour 1 of the snowstorm is behind us; only 29 more hours of snowfall to go : / I really miss my garden.
Liz replied 3 months ago

Good luck!  Hopefully, the storm will go through faster and not leave the predicted snowfall.

SweetDomesticity replied 3 months ago
Sadly, this was one slow-moving storm and we got (are still getting) a lot of snow!  Yesterday's first wave fizzled throughout the day and we only got about 2 inches, if that.  As of 9 a.m. there... more »

I'm hoping this is the best paste tomato.....will be curious to see what you will think.
SweetDomesticity replied 3 months ago
I'm excited to see how they will do! I have all 5 paste varieties in one tray, so it will also be interesting to see how they compare in germination and growth, as well!
