I am dying to get at this tree for some photographs of their blooms and leaves. Will see if toddler allows...

One of these beauties anchors my sunny front garden in Oakland, Calif. It's about 20 feet tall now and is the most floriferous it's ever been. One drawback is that it's rather messy, so is more suitable for a larger lot. Ours is rather small.

@brotherearth:I can see it being messy. Does it lose all its leaves in the winter too?

loved mimosa trees as a child in Florida. Easy to climb, flowers were so much fun to play with also. Sweet memories!
