I moved into my husband's patio home in 2007. Though my mother is an avid gardener and I love flowers, I had never really tried my hand at gardening. I began with a few flower pots and one good-sized flower bed in front of the house. Now I have expanded to flower beds ringing the house and yard, plus scores of flowering plants in pots. Through experimentation... and educating myself, I have found what grows and blooms best in our area. Still, I keep finding new treasures to plant.
