I'm finally back after a long winter of waiting to get back in the garden! I'm also 9 months pregnant now, but it hasn't stopped me from planting all our seedlings for this years garden :)

That is a huge slug...are all your slugs colored that way?  Ours tend to me orange or gray...I thought I had big slugs...LOL that one takes the 'cake'.
Tine replied 8 months ago
Most I see are this color or similar, but I've NEVER seen one this big!  It looked like a mini snake!

Bet it's a snail that outgrew it's old shell and is looking for a new one !  ☺

You have a green thumb and also a gardener's eye--I love all your close ups of plants and animals in the garden.
Claire replied 8 months ago
I love the photos too! Sad to read that this cutie goggles up your flowers - that would drive me insane. Do you do anything to get rid of them (except for scaring the poop out of them)?

Grilling beans in foil like this makes for easy cleanup! We also add corn on the cob and potatoes to the mix using the same method- boil, grill, serve!
Groundskeeper replied 8 months ago
Neat in every way. Here's another way. Steam the beans to almost tender. Then flip them in a hot pan a few times to blister the skin and finish the cooking. They come out tender and roasty. And slightly dry, instead of soggy, as are boiled beans.
