We are excited this year because we are trying to grow ten different varieties here in Italy. I will see which ones grow the best in this clay soil we have.

Thanks. We feel really lucky to live here. It's been a great life adventure for us and the kids. It's also been a TON of work but lots of fun. Drop by next time you're into the neighborhood :-)
Digging down the floor Apr 09, 2010
Activity-icon-status

The house's first floor was originally a stable and so the first people who built the house (in the late 1800's) poured concrete on top of dirt and so the walls were always wet. We had to dig down a meter (3' or so) and put in a sub-floor. Here are some pics of that fun job!
