Great photographs of those wrinkled hills and the communities of plants adapted to wet winter and dry summers. That sinewy oak expresses the climate. Was that the Stanford campus off in the distance in one photograph? It's foresighted to keep the hills undeveloped so close to a university. Hmm. I think these are the same hills where Paul Ehrlich studied butterfly populations. (less)

I've just talked to Mom and explained the site to her so she can see your photos, but she does good to send an email so I'm not optimistic. Maybe I'll catch up with you in St. Simons sometimes.
