Gardening is always on my mind. When I can't be in it, I'm thinking of it. Heirloom seeds with a story make me weak in the knees as well as old garden tools. We moved to our lil cottage in 2010 and have begun the garden anew. Forever being changed, it is about 25x60 with a white picket fence& potter shed- both upcycled. Our only yard neighbor is an ancient graveyard we are fond of. We raise our own chickens in their lil blue coop, Our beehive just 100ft from the garden gate. About 20 apple trees, 2 pear trees. A now tended wild blackberry patch and a few elderberry trees. Wine Cap Mushrooms are a new addition...

Oh my has it been a whirlwind week. My 3 have been on Spring Break and being I am the rare stay home Mom, I ended up with additional children throughout the week days & nights. It looks like we will be staying in the cold almost if not at freezing nights again. My flats are slowly increasing which means I have some rearranging in the dining room to do. No more outside until it stays in the 50's overnight. |

They are special, and pretty quickly make a home for themselves in your heart. You can tell lookig at this pic she was a special goat. I'm glad you have wonderful pics like this to remember her with. |

Squee! This is one of the most wonderful goat pictures I've ever seen, and I look at pictures of baby goats to cheer me up on rough days so I've seen *plenty* Very, very cute. |

Have I mentioned I LOVE LOVE LOVE my across the road neighbor? He brought me almost 4 dozen ~ 2 year old crowns, which also had a few 1 year old's mixed in their roots. LOVE your posts. And aren't good neighbors the greatest? Our neighbor is coming down today to rototill our garden patch with his tractor-mounted tiller, which does the job in, oh, a fraction of the time it would take us with our little front tine tiller. |
