This will be the 9th year in this garden.  The first spring in the house there was a massive brush/trash pile that we burned off the brush and dug through the dirt and pick out all the trash among the more memorable items were 3 wheelbarrows full of metal recycling, a metal dash board from a 50's vehicle, a few random doll heads and an old shed roof!  We hand tilled most of it and added a pile of pig poop from a neighbor.  Since then we've acquired a tiller, planted apple trees, my grandmother's roses & peonies, hops and perennial herbs, have expanded the size and continually add more manure.
