An extra bonus while using the Vegetable Garden Planner was our very own, Ian Cooke, who was kind enough to join us on a skype session to advise us on crop strategies, companion planting and where and how to accommodate rotating fallow beds. When we finalize the plan we'll post it to see get your feedback.

Using the Vegetable Garden Planner is what led me to find "Your Garden Show". I look forward to tracking how things grow in Italy.

@RoriTx: Hi Rori and welcome to YourGardenShow. I must say we all got a kick out of seeing your garden description :-) There's lots of fun stuff ahead this spring and summer and we're just now getting all the goodies into the garden and onto the site. Happy Gardening from us all!

This garden planner is amazing. I love how when you publish to the web, it not only shows the garden layout, but also includes a list of the plants, when to start them, transplant them and harvest.

Alright what is this garden planner?  do you purchase it or is it just on the web?

@JMTKMS:  okay, I am blind, I see the link an I am waiting for it to load now.  Thanks!

@JMTKMS: I spent hours pouring over it in January. It will even tell you how many seed you need to order for your row or bed size and if you don't like the spacing you can custom edit with your own.

@RoriTx:  I guess I should try the free trial an see if it is easy enough for me to figure out.  Sometimes these programs are to much for my brain, but his sure does look good, and currently I use my dry erase board and excel.  The excel is hard, since it is not really designed for this application.

@JMTKMS: It really is simple and pretty intuitive. I didn't think I would be so into it, since I'm really a pen and paper kinda girl, but I spent days organizing and re-organizing our garden; saved a lot of wasted paper and was very happy with our result! -Katie

@YourGardenShow:  Thank you.  I agree, I like the pen and paper...but in gardening there are so many changes.  This program does look ideal.
