We seem to have a fungus problem with some of our seedlings out in the greenhouse. No damping off, thank goodness, and all the plants seem to be fine, but there are mushrooms coming up like crazy in the seedling pots. It seems to be contained, mostly, to the first round of tomatoes we planted and the chilis which were all planted with a bag of potting soil we found in the greenhouse left over from last yr. The bag must not have remained sterile. There are about three types of mushrooms sprouting. I pick them from the pots whenever I see them, but man are they fast! As I said they don't seem to be harming the plants, but I don't want to take any risks. I'd love anyone's knowledge on this! Should we be worried? Is there something specific I should do about these pests? What could have caused them? Will they continue to spread? Help!

sounds like something in the soil. are you misting with the chamomile like Rita recommended? Has it warmed up there? Maybe giving them more air when it's warm during the day will help... don't think you need to be too worried unless the seedlings start keeling over. wonder if those are edible? don't try eating them until you get an expert opinion...
@RoriTx: thanks for letting me know that. There is definitely a lot of shredded wood in the mix we used to start these guys. Glad to know I don't have to worry; I'll just keep on plucking them.
