wow! those are some beautiful veggies! what are the round squash? the golden beets look amazing, too.

@krandolph: The round squash are from seeds we brought from Mexico, "calabaza redonda". You can find this variety of squash in most locations though; it has got a really nice flavor and is great for stuffing (I like it with squash blossom and spinach and ricotta, or requeson if we're in Mexico!).

@YourGardenShow:  We found the flavor between our Cylindra red beets and our Giant Eckendorf (when small) beets were very similar also.  We like the contrast... but as a general rule I like the red ones because they are just so beautiful on the plate!  :)

@Clenram: Not radishes, red and golden beets! They don't have too much difference in flavor, the yellow ones are slightly more subtle, but they really look beautiful when they are served together!
