Ants rarely hurt plants... here is a link with some information that might be helpful. http://www.which.co.uk/documents/pdf/ants-151456.pdf |
I've learned ants aren't the problem. I agree with Queen of Green. The problem usually comes with another pest the ants stay close too. I had ants on my sunflowers and I couldn't understand why the plants ... more » |

Thanks ladies! I'm glad to hear I don't need to keep up my egg removal strategies; super tedious and really kinda grossed me out! |

As I was doing the rounds, looking at what was putting out blooms, what was coming up here and there, what was setting fruit,... ...see more

I am very excited as we are getting close to planting the tomatoes. I copied these towers from the Grandfather of our local gas station owner. He's 91 and still gardens vigorously everyday. The bamboo was harvested from a stand at the edge of our property and another batch is coming in this year that we'll harvest as well. It's... ...see more
I really wish I was a tomato expert. But I am planting heirlooms for the first time this year. I have made a couple notations, but I sure others will be more helpful. :) GREE... more » |
Of the tomatoes on your list, I only have experience with Cherokee Purple, Rutgers, Green Zebra, and Yellow Pear. My opinion of Yellow Pear is different from JMTKMS. It's actually one of my lea... more » |
