Lots going on in the garden this month! The beds are already near capacity, filled with lettuce, a gorgeous and prolific celery plant, some kale, sugar snap peas, dill and soon fennel. I also have had several volunteer tomatillos and tomatoes sprout from the falls plants. I learned my lesson, and will be planting the tomatillos... ...see more

I had a few volunteer tomatillos last year - couldn't bear to pull them up - unfortunately they began to dominate where they sprung up.  But I had more success with the volunteers than when ones I started indoors.
