I'll be planting these this year - I was just wondering how they did for you.  Should I expect much from them?  I read that they were an appalachian heirloom, and I was hooked. lol.

I planted like 5+ varieties of squash and these are the only ones that survived. I had one plant that was: 1. all leaves completely eaten by deer. They all grew back 2. survived one of the worst droughts ever 2. survived squash bugs that killed all the other squash. It set a bunch of fruit but only one actually made it (the others grew a little then wilted). It was a big round pumpkin looking squash I didn't weigh it but it was larger than my head). I baked it and canned it and made pumpkin pies with it and it was delish.
