does anyone have a good home remedy for powdery mildew? I haven't used any chemicals on my plants yet and I really don't want to but it's all over my sqash and zucchini.

I just saw this the other day on Clenrams site.  Someone used milk, regular cows milk and sprayed it on the leaves.  I looked it up, and it said to use 1 part milk to 9 parts water.  I guess... more »

Hope the weather gets better soon. It's been a total crazy rollercoaster everywhere in the weather dept. We went from 80 & sweating to 56 and shivering...

I am a little concerned, is it too early for my zucchini and yellow sqash to be making fruit? They don't even have flowers yet
Clenram replied about 1 year ago
They won't make fruit until they flower...You will probably see male flowers first and then some female flowers.  Mine have just now gotten their first true leaves.  They look fine from the pictures you posted.

How big are your plants?  Here in Washington we wont get zucchini for quite some time yet.

I am already beginning to notice Lovebugs in the yard, which is strange because you don't usually see them until May.
Clenram replied about 1 year ago

I finally got everything in the ground and the mulch put on...now all I have to do is fix the hose in the backyard! I decided to use hay as mulch because well it's about as organic as you can get. It'll break down easily and it doesn't have all kinds of nasty chemicals in it. I went to the shop yesterday but his heirloom tomatoes... ...see more
