does anyone have a good home remedy for powdery mildew? I haven't used any chemicals on my plants yet and I really don't want to but it's all over my sqash and zucchini.

I am a little concerned, is it too early for my zucchini and yellow sqash to be making fruit? They don't even have flowers yet
|
| They won't make fruit until they flower...You will probably see male flowers first and then some female flowers. Mine have just now gotten their first true leaves. They look fine from the pictures you posted. |

I am already beginning to notice Lovebugs in the yard, which is strange because you don't usually see them until May.

I finally got everything in the ground and the mulch put on...now all I have to do is fix the hose in the backyard! I decided to use hay as mulch because well it's about as organic as you can get. It'll break down easily and it doesn't have all kinds of nasty chemicals in it. I went to the shop yesterday but his heirloom tomatoes... ...see more | |

After working in the landscape nursery for so long I finally have time and space for my own little patch of heaven. I decided to go heirloom because I am not too thrilled about genetically engineering my food. Down here in the New Orleans area, alot of people grow what are considered LSU Hybrids, because they are "superior". Well no offense LSU, but people were growing things and eating very well before you came along. I want to reconnect with the natural order of...
