Carola, such beautiful photos of the poppies! I'm glad you're on YourGardenShow. Like "Tulip," I'd love to see more photos of your gardens.
How can your location be zone 9a and also have snow in the winter? I'm confused. Or is Italy just a different place for gardening?
I have a feeling that you're right about 9a, even though it snows on you. After five days of sun and 60's in San Francisco, I'm disappointed by Iowa's weather--currently high 80's, ditto for humidity, six inches of rain in one week, more to come. I'd like a change.
The poppies are spectacular, especially set against such a lush green background. I wish I had 10 acres! Then again, I have trouble finding time to care for the 1/4 acre we inhabit.
@Deadhead:yes it is soooo tempting to buy too many seeds and than i have all the little pots and do not know where to put them. we just got a foot snow and i am fooling around online seed catalogs :-) will get too busy - again
