This house was built back in the 50's on a ½ acre by my Dad for Mom and my 2 brothers and me. He planted maple trees in the front and pines all along the sides. There were pine bushes along the front, sides, and back. Dad passed in 1979 and Mom in 2007. Now this house is occupied by my husband, me, the dog, and the fish tanks. We had the old maples cut down, a lot of the pines fell over, and had hubby cut down all the pine bushes around the house and started over. So most of the plants in my garden are new to several years old. Still have the old peonies and rhododendrons, a couple spireas,a burning bush, and a barberry bush that mom loved. We get a lot more sun and a lot less leaves in the fall! I have a perennial garden and my husband has an antenna farm.

Garden Inspirations Monroe, MI

by Liz
I love to garden.  Besides gardening, I love to attend garden shows. go on garden walks, and visit public gardens.  Many times these visits have inspired me to add something different to my own garden.

My vegetable garden is getting a makeover this year!  Not only will I be growing more heirlooms, but the area where they will be growing will have a Bohemian flair.....colorful, artsy, fun, and perhaps a bit of the...

All 3 of my gardens are like that with the icons going down and I can't post any pics.

@Liz: Try rebooting your computer. Clear your history and cookies. Your husband should know how to do that. Make sure you log out of Facebook, too. Facebook is screwing a lot of things up.
    dreamwanderon replied 5 days ago
@Liz: If all else fails...you can do a system restore from a point earlier when everything worked correctly.  Could have been some Microsoft updates that screwed up your computer. There's so many things that would make your computer act weird (including the person, me, who's telling you things to do) !  ♥

    @dreamwanderon: LOL!

@Liz: I agree with Sandy I am sure that Facebook is not working well with YGS.  I use Safari for YGS because it is so easy to reset.  If it stops working I just clear history and the cache.

They won't enlarge for me at all. When I go to the glog there is one of those arrows like it is a video on my Monsanto pic. Your video you posted today does not show up but the one about bread does. When I'm in my BG, the icons for photos, video, journal, etc. are going down instead of across. Should I delete the whole post and try again. I'm going into Chiz to see if that is normal.

I just posted a Monsanto journal and it's messed up. I have 4 or 5 pics and I can't enlarge the 1st pic to see if I wrote everything correctly. So I went on the Blog page and it says it's a video.....but I think the video is yours and it kind of disappeared. See what you think!!
    dreamwanderon replied 5 days ago
@Liz: What you post on a journal is automatically added to the glog. There are 5 photos. Do you see under the 1st photo the symbols < enlarge symbol > ?  Click on the spyglass (enlarge symbol) and it will bring your pictures up to see what you've written underneath each one. I don't know what you're talking about a video. All 5 photos are showing up. Let me know if you're having any trouble.  ☺

I watched a GMO video on FB this morning that I shared.  I'm hoping you don't mind but I linked it to your GMO glog so anyone that was interested could find info all in one place.

@Liz: Thanks !  Everybody is welcome to add to this because it's "everybodys" garden !  ☺

@dreamwanderon: I'm trying to spread the word.....but also noticed when I share anything GMO pretty much noone responds.

Sandy!  Thanks so much for visiting my site.  I do think you are the first friend I have made that is from PA.  I have spent my life in New Mexico and Texas.  It is so much fun to hear and see what is going on in other places!
dreamwanderon replied about 1 year ago
@Clenram: Well it's nice when I make a comment on a photo that someone actually responds...with the exception of Liz in her Chiz Gardens. It seemed like her and I were the only ones on here ! Good to have friends as long as we don't talk politics (cause I believe in conspiracies) . I've lived in PA all my life and am living in the same house that I grew up in w/ hubby, 13 year old husky/shepherd, a 65 gal, 55 gal, and 30 gal fish tank (and daughter works at the locally owned pet store...so I get a discount ! Teehee !)  ☺
Clenram replied about 1 year ago
@dreamwanderon: No wonder you noticed my fish in the background.  How great to be in the house you grew up in!  Having a daughter that works in a pet store is almost as good as having a live in chef!

I hope you will visit my garden I would love to hear photo advice and any other advice.  I feel like I am just starting to learn!

Lots going on on FB today with Monsanto related articles from gardeners I follow. Amazing! I've got my husband reading all this stuff. His reaction is that it might be too late for anyone to do anything....the damage may already be done. I sure hope not!!
dreamwanderon replied over 1 year ago
@Liz: It's not like they can recall them if something goes wrong ! They are playing with something here that no one will be able to control...like building a Frankenstein ! It would only take one of the genetic engineered plant to cross pollinate with something else and on down the line...and everything will change. That's why they have the "Doomsday Seed Vault" up in Norway. This is a HUGE government conspiracy !  :-(
