Those tomato plants are big. Looks like you'll have plenty for the table. I'd like to see the plants again when they're covered with tomatoes. I think I'll switch to small tomatoes next years. The squirrels like to chew up the big ones. They eat a bit of one side, so there's some for the humans, but I'd rather not share.

Yes, I'd much rather let the squirrels take half a dozen small ones and leave the rest alone! I'm really happy with these plants -- it's the first time I've started tomatoes from seed and I was afraid the beginning of April was late for that. But with good growing weather here in Massachusetts the last month things have really taken off, even if the seedlines seemed so tiny compared to what was in the garden centers a month ago. What are you growing this year?

I'm growing kale and lettuce, mainly because we eat them almost every day and the toll at the market adds up fast. Also, they're fresh. I'm growing tomatoes, eggplants and squash in very informal setup with my neighbor. I pull weeds when I walk by and she shares the crop.
