After picking up a couple bales of straw and hay today I had plans to implement which included no more muddy paths in the garden. However when I started taking a look around during one of the dozen or more breaks I had to take today.... I noticed that the scheme and flow of the berry garden was off. | |

| Borage is the gift that keeps on giving in the garden. It attracts beneficials and has the prettiest bluish flowers a plant can have. It tastes kind of cucumbery and when young would be great in salads. May 07, 2012 | |||||

| I've grown this variety for several years now. It is very winter hardy and prolific. However we can't get enough and neither can the birds and squirrels. I always have extra plants that I give away yearly. May 07, 2012 | |||||

For me adding a temporary greenhouse to start seedlings and shelter plants from cooler weather is very important. Not only does it serve that duty, it also is a great way to keep the garden tidy by corralling a lot of my garden paraphernalia. I can keep extra trays and pots there as well as buckets of compost accessible for... ...see more |

We've been fussing about what Fruits, Herbs, Flowers, Vegetables, and Trees to grow in our organic urban garden for years now. [All of which are important parts of our garden] Once the snow melts we implement our not too rigid plan for the coming season. As the seasons change so do our plans as we believe in the necessity of crop rotation as part of organic growing. You can almost see the smiles on the bumblebees little fuzzy faces when spring arrives and the first blooms appear. *We love our beneficials* They know they are safe from poisonous chemicals here and that's why they stick around. As long as there are...
