I cut out most of the mint, but with the rain we have had lately, the little bit that was left has taken hold again. I will have to dig it out again Somehow, the roots stay hidden until a shoot pops up.

I like the climbing arch of roses. Is it too late in the season to start this project? Any advice would be appreciated. |

I also like the climbing arch of roses, very pretty. You would never guess the property use to be just lawn - everything looks so lush! |

| Your "English Garden" is just lovely! |
- Page 1 of 1

When I bought this 60 year house in 2003, it was all lawn, a few boxwoods, some grass infested planting areas from years past, and 200 sq feet of Mint. I started removing Mint and found wonderful soil that had been tended for years. The garden has grown and grown, and has taken on many looks from a small perennial garden gradually adding roses, iris, butterfly bushes, yarrow, campanula, and lots of herbs.
I have one area dedicated to tomatoes each year and have had some great vegetable harvests over the year.
