Growing up a farm girl, I learned the importance of gardening and perserving from my Mom who taught me the necessary skills. I didn't stay farming but maintained a large garden and yard all throughout the early years of my children.

The years I worked outside my home didn't allow time enough to continue canning, pickling and freezing - besides the kids were gone now and it didn't seem important to garden any longer. Now that I've retired, vegetable gardening has roused my interest once again along with expanding my flower beds. Arthritis has slowed me down a little and make some chores a bit more difficult but hasn't stemmed my enthusiasm and provides me with opportunitys to photograph the critters that come into our yard.

I love digital photography and while I'm not very good at it, making videos for family and friends has earned me the title of family photographer.

My other main interests are genealogy and painting, although decorating comes in a very close third. I'm in my element digging through antique stores, flea markets and yard sales. My darling husband is no longer embarrassed by my antics  and sometimes will bring home a 'find' all on his own.

I'm mom to daughter Carman Jane, grandma to Alexandria, Paige, Josh and Eddy AND gr gramma to 3 beautiful kids - Erica, Logan and Wyatt as well as surrogate gram to Biannca.

Wayne and I have been married 17 years and were business partners until I opened my print shop. Last years retirement lasted all of about 2 months (grandaughter Lexi now manages the business) before Wayne turned his interests to electronic recycling and is now working harder than ever. I won't go there cause that's another story.
