Wow...I have some in the ground but last I checked they were less than an inch long.  Last year they never developed.  I made homemade carrot juice this morning with some bought carrots.  The juice taste naturally sweet.

thank you!    I think my soil is finally suitable to grow carrots.   I added a lot of shredded leaves to my raised beds last year so my soil is looser now
