| I was taking some things from my garden to my friend Brian He lives in a log home out in the country He does hydroponic gardening. So thats why there was a little bit of everything in there. |

| but im just now seeing tomatillos so it will be awhile before I can pick mine I have no idea when I guess when they look like the ones at the market huh |

| They'll fill out ,the bottom (husk) will begin to split open and the husk will feel very dry and papery to the touch. |

We have had rain three nights in a row !!! This is unheard of at this time of year in Texas . Everything is green and looking so happy!

| I just picked them off and moved them. It took a couple of days but once all the eggs had hatched they haven't come back. I think the butterflies lay the eggs as kind of a hit and run. |

No this is not a vine It grows wild here in Texas and we have very hot sun so it can tolerate the heat and sun I would suggest next October you mix some seed with some dirt ... more » |

My garden began with one raised bed. I grew up in Ohio where you could pretty much stick a plant in the ground and it would grow. I now live in Texas where the "soil" is not soil. Its clay. I think they call it black gumbo. Black gumbo is like a thick muck that is not good for growing anything. I read somewhere if you are a gardener and you have this type of soil , sell your house....... Really! I can't do that at this time so raised beds are the way to go in these parts. I was lucky to have my husband, Cliff, build a raised bed for my vegetable patch. The gardening book I was reading...
