My oldest and most favorite memories are of when I was in the garden with my mother, I caught frogs to help with bug problems, pet bumble bees with my dad, helped try and keep the pumpkin patch under wraps, and spent all spring and summer outside in the dirt. Now I'm all grown up (who am I kidding?) with a munchkin of my own, in my own garden, eating strawberries off the vine, and teaching her all the things my parents taught me about gardening- but instead of in the suburbs, we're in Fairbanks Alaska, one of the shortest growing and harvest seasons, coldest winters, and darkest days can be found here. I'm up to the challenge though, despite whatever mishaps we have along the way.
