It looks like you have more of a garden estate.  You must be at this full time from the extent of your cataloging what you do.  I would like to see more pictures of the ponds that you created.I am a retired art teacher so I see everything as an art expression and growing things are things of beauty.  I tried to capture that quality in the paintings and sculpture that I did. I know what you mean about gardening being an experiment.  I basically grow flowers and love the design aspect of the garden as much as the growing.  I try to anticipate how a plant grows and get it the maximum conditions given our short growing time.  I love morning glories but by the time they are ready to put on a show the fall is almost over.  Coleus, geraniums and begonias are my biggest components and I have lots of variety in each category.  I am designing a structure to go over the garage door and the side walk like a mini pergola and hope to have it in place by the next week.  I have a small pond with a fountain, more the size of a kiddy pool that I want to incorporate next to my yard fence.  I am constantly erecting temporary trellis's for things that want to vine up like tomatoes, clematis and others.
