I thought you'd dropped off the face of the earth. I want to know how the watering experiment went and are you in the spray area?
joeythejoe replied 9 months ago
no aerial spraying in rockwall  county. they did some ground spraying. the watering went well. i used most of my rain water during the really hot weather. wee the got 8" of rain over the last week and i have no plans on watering again this year

Symbiosis at its finest moment...I do adore nature.
The Heat is on Jun 22, 2012
Activity-icon-status

As we approach the triple digit mark early next week I have had an increase in aphids especially on my cucumbers. Nature is doing it's part to handle the pest. I am seeing numerous green lacewing larva and mealy bug destroyers. I put out lacewing eggs earlier in the year but never really saw many of the larva. My $15 investment... ...see more

Very glad to hear that the good bugs are beating the bad bugs, and that buying bugs is a good deal.  So, the aphids come with the heat?  I guess that explains our good broccoli, as we have had a ... more ยป

I can't see the picture so well - are the white things tomatoes?  If so, those are some amazingly white tomatoes!
sreece replied 12 months ago
How did your garden fare with that kind of hail?!

julia42 replied 12 months ago
Ooh!  Not good.  I was hoping they were some kind of really really white tomato.  Ouch.

Anyone that is interested in a very prolific and yummy tomato, I highly recommend the Black Cherry. It has produced well over 100 tomatoes and is still going strong. My only warning is that it needs some extra room to grow. Mine is well over 6' tall and sprawling out several feet in all directions!!!!!!

Is that just one plant!?
