Hellebores are blooming

The hellebores are in full bloom! I have rose pink hellebores and a lovely pale green/white one. Also known as "Lenten Roses", they typically bloom during Lent. This year Lent is quite late, but the blooms last a long time and will still be around for the Lenten season and probably will stay blooming until Easter.
Lots of buds starting to show on the hydrangeas. It's been unseasonably warm with days reaching 70°+. We're not out of the woods yet for a cold snap and hard freeze.
Speaking of hydrangeas... at the recent American Hydrangea Society meeting we had a great speaker, Tim Stevens of Nurseries Caroliniana in North Augusta, SC. And I won 2 really nice hydrangeas at the plant raffle: a 3 gal. "Blue Wave" lacecap and a 1 gal. "Junihitoe" donated by Ted. Really looking forward to seeing these 2 bloom this spring. (of course now I have to figure out where to plant them!)
