A question for tomato people...

So, last spring when I first started gardening I bought a packet of Black Krim tomato seeds on Ebay.  I failed miserably at growing tomatoes from seed last year and ended up buying a Black Krim plant instead.  It did great.

This year, I decided to try those seeds again and ended up with 2 nice plants.  I gave one to my neighbor and planted the other for myself.  My neighbor's is producing tomatoes that pretty much look like Black Krim's to me (they're not ripe yet, though, so I can't be sure), but mine look nothing like Black Krim.  Big sprays of flowers with lots of small fruit, like a cherry type.

I know now that Ebay seed vendors are notorious for being rip-offs, and so I'm guessing that maybe the seed was just taken from a grocery store tomato or something.  If so, does anyone have any thoughts about the likelihood of my prolific plant producing something decent?  I could be using that space for okra right about now...

I grew a bunch of tomatoes from seed last year, but I planted them too close.  They died from a mealy bug that spread to everything.  I have the tomatoes really spread this year and watch them closely!  I sure want tomatoes this year!
Thanks so much for your advice on my site!  You are very smart!  :)

@Clenram: Thanks!  I planted my tomatoes too close this year, too.  I can barely walk back there.  I need to take some pictures...I told myself "no okra" this year, because we got so sick of it by the end of last summer, but now I'm wanting it again...  There are only so many things that grow through our summers here...

I get all my seed from Baker Creek and saved some seeds from last year.  I love to experiment so I rarely by a plant.

My okra in the low field are small plants right now .. .but already producing okra.  I weeded around them and they look like they are finally growing taller.  :)

I had some Black Krim seeds either last year or the year before (think I got them from a seed exchange) ... that didn't produce either.  There are several type of tomatoes that I don't have luck with ... Cherokee Purple is another one.
