I've never cooked with ground cherries-do they taste the same as tomatillos?

@RoriTx: I've never grown them before.  I hear they taste somewhere between a cherry and a tomato.  People use them for preserves, pies, and fresh eating...  So far, they look to be productive, if nothing else.
